Religious leaders are more into Rape

Foluke Daramola-Salako, has revealed that about 75% of r*pe cases her organization had handled were perpetrated by religious leaders.

Daramola-Salako disclosed this during an Instagram live session while narrating how she was r*ped by her tenant when she was 17.

According to her, “75% of the cases I have on my table are from religious leaders and most times we don’t get to the end of it.

“This is because when we start investigating the cases, the family would come and tell us we should leave the religious leader to God.”

She further dismissed claims that indecent dressing by ladies is responsible for the increase in the number of rape cases.

The actress stressed that r*pe is just a sign of weakness by r*pists, adding that “Nothing attracts r*pe. Why do they r*pe minors, teenagers, and even old women. Is that also about indecent dressing?

According to her, most victims of r*pe cases in Nigeria are children, teenagers and elderly women who do not dress indecently.

She added, “You hardly find r*pe cases against young women except for sexual assaults and abuse in workplaces, we find it mostly amongst children, teenagers, and elderly women, how come you are now telling me it is indecent dressing?

Kemi accuses Davido of sexually harrasing her 2018

Oh dear! Kemi Olunloyo has ACCUSED Nigerian singer, Davido of s*xual harassment.
According to Ms Olunloyo, this happened in October, 2018.

She took to social media where she made the claims and also claimed Tiwa Savage and Samklef are aware of it and Samklef even begged her not to take it up.

Her claims below...

“Sexual violence in Nigeria starts with sexual harassment. @davido fans don’t know how he sexually harassed me October 20th 2018. His fans and associates endorse this reckless behavior and it spirals. He has found it hard to say “Sorry”, an easy word that goes a long way.

#FightSexualViolence @TiwaSavage your mgt mate plead to me several times to end this fight with you and I repeated to her it’s NOT going to happen till you apologise for those tweets. She said u were upset because I mentioned your late mother. Do u know how @Richkjtmusic feels?

#FightSexualViolence @SAMKLEF plead to me to let things go. I said NO! Nobody forgives and forgets. You cannot do both. I am NOT forgiving you as I told @SaharaReporters and will never forget. I HATE U @davido with passion. You sexually harassed me! You apologise! It was WRONG”

White cops and some civilians kneel to wash black protesters feet and beg for forgiveness

A group of white police officers and other civilians in Cary, North Carolina, came together to wash the feet of black protesters while asking for forgiveness for years of racism.

In a video shared online by Fabiola Doissaint, the white members of the community are seen cleaning the feet of black religious leaders, while a man says a prayer into a megaphone to repent for their sins and historical involvement in slavery and oppression against African-Americans.

The man holding the megaphone, while praying, acknowledged that there’s only one race of people. He then asked for forgiveness for their white ancestors enslaving, mistreating and oppressing African-Americans.

However, not everyone was impressed with this. Some people reacted to the video, stating that the action of the White people was shameful.

Former minister of petroleum Diezani now Dominican Commissioner for Trades after gaining citizenship

Nigerians have taken to social media to react to report of former Minister of Petroleum,  Diezani Alison-Madueke 'not being extraditable' after acquiring Dominican citizenship.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) move to secure the extradition of the former minister to answer to charges of N23.29 billion poll bribery scandal, had suffered a setback following her claim to citizenship of the Commonwealth of Dominica.

Diezani was issued a diplomatic passport, DP0000445 by the Dominican Government on May 21, 2015 shortly before the handover to President Muhammadu Buhari by ex-President Goodluck Jonathan. The citizenship of the former Minister who was subsequently appointed as a Trade and Investment Commissioner for the Commonwealth of Dominica, was confirmed in a May 29, 2015 approval letter by the Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica, Roosevelt Kerry.

It read in part;

“I am pleased to confirm your appointment as Trade and Investment Commissioner for the Commonwealth of Dominica.

“Please note that this posting does not attract a remunerative package. In that respect, I am particularly encouraged by your willingness to serve.

“The appointment of a Trade and Investment Commissioner is consistent with my Government’s declared intention to have a permanent and active presence in the global business and financial sector operations. We believe that Dominica can benefit immeasurably from your illustrious record and profession success, and knowledge of investments and business operations.

“As Trade and Investment Commissioner, your scope of operation would revolve around the direct promotion and marketing of Dominica as a trade and investment domicile, as well as an emerging and unique tourist destination in the Caribbean.

“I encourage you playing an active role in the coordination of road shows and trade and investment expositions, as well as providing facilitator services to businessmen interested in investing or doing business with the Caribbean region. Dominica is ideally placed and equipped to serve as the perfect hub for such commercial activities in this region.

“Additionally, we would wish for you also to avail yourself and be of assistance to any Dominican citizen who may be keen on exploring business, trading or investment relations with the region or who may otherwise need assistance in the event of any distress.”

Al Jazeera reported that Skerrit funded his election with sales of his country’s diplomatic passport without abiding by the rules of the United Nations in appointing ambassadors or diplomats.

Diezani who alongside other influential people took advantage of this deal to secure a Dominican Diplomatic Passport that prevents security agencies from investigating them, is now immune from arrest and prosecution by any law enforcement agency, including the Interpol due to the fact that the diplomatic passport contains a restraining order against any arrest or prosecution.

A top source told The Nation;

“Diezani is fully taking advantage of the system in the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth of Dominica where she is a citizen.

“We cannot successfully repatriate her without the involvement of the two countries. She has really set hurdles against her extradition. While the  National Crime Agency (NCA) claimed that it is still investigating our allegations against Diezani, the Commonwealth of Dominica has not shown any interest in the return of her citizen to Nigeria.

“What we have done so far is to present a comprehensive report of our findings to the NCA.

“As it is now, Diezani has dual citizenship and  the UK Government would have to consult with all the affected countries.

“The prospect of extraditing Diezani is cumbersome. There had been issues on the actual treaty upon which she can be extradited.  Yet she cannot be tried in foreign jurisdiction.”

Here are reactions of Nigerians to the report;

Asides the poll bribery scandal, the EFCC also wants Diezani to answer to account for  N47.2 billion; $487.5million; N23,446,300,000 and $5milion (about N1.5billion) in various Nigerian banks. She is also expected to account for alleged spending of $6.9 million to buy three 40-feet mobile stages for use during mass public speaking events.

Giggs celebrates Nigeria striker ighalo

Manchester United legend, Ryan Giggs, has praised Odion Ighalo's impact at the club since joining in January while explaining what differentiates him from other strikers at the club.

Last week, the Nigeria striker’s loan deal at Manchester was extended until January 2021 after his impressive three months of playing at the club after joining on an initial five-month loan from Shanghai Shenhua.

Giggs who won 13 Premier League titles with the Red Devils before becoming a coach first at Manchester United then at Wales, is delighted Ighalo will be staying at Manchester United for the next six months.

"He's different, he's a centre forward whereas the other players can play out wide,” he was quoted as saying by Sky Sports.

"He gives you something extra off the bench when he's not starting. Centre forwards always want to score goals, he's done that everywhere he has gone.

“It's positive that he is able to stay because he has done well. He makes an impact when he's on the pitch."

Reno has lashes out on Nigerians

Reno Omokri has lashed out at Africans for "denigrating their own culture" and celebrating Western culture disguised as Christian culture.
Reno Omokri who wondered where Santa Claus or White Wedding was recorded in the Bible, stated that Africans swallowed what colonialists sold them as Christianity.

He tweeted;

Dear African, The reason you believe an African masquerade is evil, but Santa Claus is good, and think a White Wedding is holy, but your traditional wedding is just a formality, (both are traditional), is because you are racist against yourself!

You denigrate your own culture and celebrate Western culture disguised and Christian culture. Where in Scripture have you seen Santa Claus or White Wedding? Meanwhile, your African traditional wedding (exchange of gifts and drinks) is in Scripture

Africans just swallow what colonialists sold them as Christianity. Why is your African masquerade evil but Santa Claus is good? Where do you see Santa Claus in Scripture? Rearrange Santa. You get satan. Rearrange Claus. You get Lucas. @Google Lucas

Amazon CEO replied a bittered customer.

Amazon CEO, Jeff Bezos has shared an email he received from an angry customer expressing his dissatisfaction over his support for the Black Lives Matter movement.

Recall, the World's richest man declared his support for the Black Lives Matter movement and announced a $10 million donation to organizations working to bring about social justice and improve the lives of Black and African Americans in the wake of George Floyd's death.

Posting the email to his Instagram page, a man named Dave revealed he had been placing an order with Amazon when he discovered Bezos' statement of support for Black Lives Matter and immediately cancelled it.

The man also stated that he was ending his business relationship with Amazon.

In response to Dave, Jeff Bezos wrote: 'There have been a number of sickening but not surprising responses in my inbox since my last post. This sort of hate shouldn’t be allowed to hide in the shadows. It’s important to make it visible. This is just one example of the problem.

And, Dave, you’re the kind of customer I’m happy to lose.'

This comes days after Bezos shared an email exchange between himself and another angry customer on Instagram.

The customer said it was “disturbing” and “offensive” that Amazon posted a "Black Lives Matter" banner on its website. He also pointed out to him that "All Lives Matter."

In his response to the customer: Bezos wrote: “I have to disagree with you.”

″‘Black Lives Matter’ doesn’t mean other lives don’t matter. Black lives matter speaks to racism and the disproportionate risk that Black people face in our law enforcement and justice system.”

Meet the new owner of kylie skin

Coty completed its USD 600 million transaction with Kylie Jenner. According to the agreement, the multinational now owns 51% of the beauty brand which has made an estimated USD 177 million in net revenues over the past 12 months. The aim is to expand Kylie Cosmetics globally and to enter into new beauty categories.

Former Douglas executive Christoph Honnefelder has been assigned the task to build and further develop Kylie’s existing beauty business into a global powerhouse brand. Coty said he will assume the role of CEO of Kylie Cosmetics and Kylie Skin in the near future.

Christoph Honnefelder has been appointed as CEO of Kylie Cosmetics and kylie skin.

According to Coty, Kylie Jenner and her team will continue to lead product creation and communications, building in particular on her key asset: her global reach capabilities through social media. Coty will have overall responsibility for the portfolio’s development, leveraging its global knowledge and capabilities in R&D, manufacturing, distribution, commercial and go-to-market expertise. The company said it intends to continue to work with the brand’s current strategic suppliers in existing product categories.

Kylie Jenner no more a CEO.

Coty Inc. can’t seem to get enough of the Kardashians.
The cosmetics company is in talks with Kim Kardashian West for a possible collaboration “with respect to certain beauty products,” according to a regulatory filing. The possible partnership comes just months after Coty closed a $600 million deal with the reality TV star’s sister, Kylie Jenner.
Chief Executive Officer Peter Harf, who was named to the post this week, said that he’s “good friends” with the family’s business manager Kris Jenner, who’s also Kardashian West’s and Kylie Jenner’s mother. “I’m very proud that the Jenner family is working with us and have access to them and to other people who are big opinion leaders on social media,” he said on a conference call with analysts Monday.

Coty jumped 7.6% before regular trading Wednesday in New York.
Coty acquired a majority stake in Kylie Cosmetics in a deal that closed in January valuing the business as about $1.2 billion. Jenner’s line became popular for its lip kits that pair a liquid lipstick with pencil lip liner. Kardashian has her own business, KKW Beauty, which is known for its body contour products.
In 2018, Forbes reported the company was valued at $800 million, and in March 2019, valued the company at $900 million.

Things you need to know about the Kardashian Jenner

Kim and Kanye were offered a lot of money for their kid's first picture
It's no wonder that due to how famous they are, plenty of media outlets were wanting to buy the first images of Kim's babies soon after they were born. North's picture was shared on Kris Jenner's talk show, and Saint's was released on social media – despite Kim and Kanye being offered over $2 million for snaps.

Saint's name has caused some confusion
Much like all the Kardashian kids, Saint has a unique name. But shortly after he was born, there was lots of confusion on the pronunciation of his name. Given Kim posted the picture on Instagram including his name written in the caption, many were left wondering how to say it. It was reported that due to Kim and Kanye's love for all things French, their son's name was actually to be pronounced the French way, like 'San'. However, Kim's mum Kris seemingly put the issue to bed when chatting to an E! reporter on a red carpet event, and set the record straight – it's Saint (Say-nt) after all.

True Thompson was named after a distant relative

Khloe Kardashian has one daughter, True, with ex-partner Tristan Thompson. Shortly after True's birth back in April 2018, grandmother and Kardashian momager, Kris Jenner, revealed that True was named after a distant relative. "I'm so excited to welcome my precious little granddaughter True!!! FUN FACT… my Grandfather's name on my Dad's side was True Otis Houghton….my real Dad's name was Robert True Houghton…so I am so excited Khloe named her daughter True!!!" she wrote on social media
.
Stormi's birth broke a record
When Kylie Jenner gave birth to her daughter Stormi back in February 2018, the reality star hadn't yet officially announced she was due to become a mother to the world. The 22-year-old and her rapper boyfriend Travis Scott released a mini-documentary style video on their YouTube revealing their happy news. Kylie then posted a picture of Stormi on her Instagram, which eventually racked up 15 million likes – beating a record in the process for most liked picture on Instagram!

The West kids are not as spoiled as you might think
Kim and Kanye are obviously very down-to-earth parents. Despite having millions of dollars in the bank, not only due to Kim's reality career but thanks to husband Kanye's career in music, as parents they don't want to give their kids handouts. Kim has spoken openly about wanting to teach her children the value of money, telling E! News: "I worry about giving my kids too much. We don’t do gifts. They have to really earn it. But we talk about it all the time, about not getting too much and just trying to be as grounded and well-rounded as possible.

Mason's birth was televised
Kourtney was the first Kardashian sibling to give birth and wanted to do so in a unique way. Back in 2009, she welcomed her son Mason with then-boyfriend Scott Disick and the whole thing was televised, including Kourtney taking matters into her own hands (literally) and aiding Mason's birth!

North West is a keen dancer
Eldest child of Kim and Kanye, North West is obviously keen to follow in her dad's performer footsteps as the little girl loves dancing. Back in 2015, North, or Nori as she's affectionately known to her family, was pictured with her mum and cousin Penelope walking into her ballet class when she famously quipped: "I said no pictures!" More recently, the six-year-old has been dancing along to some tunes on her mum's Tik Tok. A star in the making!

Penelope's middle name is Scotland
Nope, we didn't know this either. Kourtney's middle child and only daughter's full name is Penelope Scotland Disick. It was reported that Scotland was a nod to her father's name, Scott, but according to E! the couple simply thought it was cute.

Mason and Reign share a birthday
December is no doubt a busy month for Kourtney and co. Her eldest, Mason, was born back in 2009 on 14 December, and five years later, her youngest son Reign Aston was born on the very same day!

Stop offending our Religious fans tell one of the k-pop

Chinese singer and former member of South Korean K-pop band EXO Lu Han has come under fire after he was seen wearing a vest decorated with the Shahada, the Islamic creed, while attending an event on Monday.

The hashtag #LuHan topped the Malaysia trends list on Twitter with 36.9k tweets as of Tuesday morning.

According to an explanation of one Twitter user who claims to be Muslim, the script on the vest translates to "There is no god but Allah, Muhammad [Peace be upon him] is the messenger of Allah."

The netizen posted "That sacred phrase is the foundation of our faith" and is not allowed to be used on the floor nor in washrooms and that it was "extremely disrespectful" and "a big deal" for Lu to wear clothing bearing the phrase.

Some of Lu's fans expressed that they were disappointed in their idol and asked the star and his studio to issue an apology.

"I love you #LuHan but this is a big no!! Stop offending our religious and stop wearing things you don't understand this is for all the idols out there," one netizen posted on Twitter.

Some netizens defended Lu Han, saying that the blame should be placed on the designer of the vest instead of the star.

"Can his designer stop using this kind of words just to make your design look special. It's so offensive. I hope his designer will apologies about this. Don't throw hate towards Luhan," one netizens wrote on Twitter in a post that echoed the opinion of netizens on China's Twitter-like Sina Weibo.

"Stop trying to silence Muslims when we try to call someone out when they disrespect our religion. We should educate Luhan and tell him why it's wrong of him to wear that, the same goes for the designer and just designers out there in general," another netizen commented on Twitter.

This is not the first time that celebrities have faced criticism for their fashion choices. According to reports, South Korean K-pop boy band BTS once faced criticism for wearing a politically-charged shirt with a picture of an atomic bomb and wearing a hat featuring a Nazi symbol.

Lesotho first lady bags jail term.

Lesotho’s former first lady, Maesaiah Thabane, was on Wednesday arrested over the murder of the previous wife of her husband and former prime minister, Thomas Thabane, police said.

Lesotho’s Appeal Court revoked her bail last week on suspicion that procedure was not followed correctly when her bail was granted.

Thabane was transferred to court, where she wore a fur coat and black protective anti-coronavirus mask, a Reuters witness said.

The date for a new bail application was set for June 6.

Maesaiah Thabane was being charged with ordering the killing of Lipolelo Thabane, her love rival, who was shot dead near her home in Lesotho’s capital, Maseru, in June, 2017.

Maesaiah Thabane was released on bail in February.

Lipolelo was estranged from Thomas Thabane at the time of the murder.

The case had been causing growing political instability in the independent mountain kingdom of two million people encircled by South Africa before Thomas Thabane resigned as prime minister in May.

He is also a suspect in the murder. He denies any involvement and has yet to be formally charged

Leishmaniasis is associated with migration and the movement of people to areas with existing transmission cycles. The disease can present in three clinical forms:
1.Visceral Leishmaniasis (VL)

2.Cutaneous Leishmaniasis (CL)

3.Mucocutaneous Leishmaniasis

Visceral Leishmaniasis
Visceral Leishmaniasis known as Black fever or Kala-azar is caused by the Protozoa parasites, Leshmania donovani and Leshmania infantum. Kala-azar is potentially fatal if left untreated.isceral leishmaniasis cases are usually recorded in poor, remote, and politically unstable areas where there is limited health care and patients have little access to affordable medications. Half of clinical cases of kala Azar occur in children and It is estimated that about 90% of the 50,000 to 90,000 new cases arising each year occurs in the rural areas of India, Sudan, South Sudan, Kenya, Somalia, Ethiopia, and Brazil, and that only 30% of cases are reported.

Obansanjo questions Buhari

Former Nigerian president, Olusegun Obasanjo has called out the President Muhammadu Buhari led administration for its insensitivity to Nigeria's diversity by ensuring all three top leaders in the country are from the northern part of the country.

He made the comments in an exclusive interview with Premium Times In Ogun state, Nigeria, to commemorate country's democracy day.

Obasanjo said, “I think we have no choice but to be on the path for sustainable development,” Mr Obasanjo said. “The progress we are making may be questionable—-Is it fast enough? Is it steady enough? Is it stable enough? Are we taking two steps forward and one step back or one step side-way?

“You can question that, but we have no choice but to be on (the) path for sustainable development. Any other thing will be a disaster. In fact, the pace at which we are going now is tending more and more toward disaster and instability and unsustainability.

“The problem is that we are just not doing what we should be doing,” said Mr Obasanjo, who supported Mr Buhari of the All Progressives Congress when the retired general contested against former president Goodluck Jonathan in 2015. “Nobody has that confidence, and we cannot develop Nigeria without that confidence in our economy. Both for domestic investors and foreign investors.

“I set up two (anti-corruption) institutions,” he said. “I came with two laws that were not there before, to fight corruption. And those who claim they are fighting corruption today have not brought in anything different. If anything, they have corrupted those two institutions.

“And the institutions were open and independent. I never, never, as president had to say to either the head of ICPC or EFCC: ‘Oh, chase this person.

“Nigeria was a pariah state. Within the first four years (1999-2003)… we actually hosted the commonwealth. And Nigeria which was kicked out of the Commonwealth became the host of a Commonwealth Head of Governments Meeting (CHOGM). We became the darling of almost all nations. The economy started doing well.

“I remember on one occasion one day or one week, Chukwuma Soludo (then governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria) phoned me and said: “Sir, in one day, we had an inflow of $80 million”. From foreign direct flow; not money from our oil export or cocoa export. Just direct! And he (Soludo) said to me: “Sir, this is almost unbelievable.

“I said we were not where I want us to be yet. I want us to be $100 million per day. That means in five working days, that will be half a billion dollars. If we are making half a billion dollars a week of five working days; in 52 weeks, it will be $26 billion. It is possible. I got debt relief.

“I think there is a presumption in our constitution that our system will bring out competent leaders devoid of extremism, religious or tribal bigotry. Leaders who understand what it takes to hold the country together and put it in high gear for development, unity and inclusive and shared society.

“These are assumptions. And if these assumptions come true, what is meant to be achieved in our country will be achieved. But the kind of situation you have now cannot allow those assumptions to become reality. Now you have a situation where three top officials of government will be from only two northern zones. Ahmed Lawan (who has been pencilled down as Senate President) is from the North-East, the acting chief justice of Nigeria is from the north-east, The President of the country is from the north-west. They are all from what we call the core north. How can you have that kind of arrangement and then be absolutely insensitive to it (lack of geographical diversity)?

“So the prescription that our constitution makes of the kind of leadership that should emerge, we have failed to achieve that with the present leadership we have in place. The Constitution expects the executive to care for the welfare and security of every Nigerian. But in the present situation, they don’t seem to care.”
